2000 dodge 1500 5.9 liter ac blows cold but when you slow or stop down you hear a little door closing up somewhere between heater core and blower motor then it only blows hot air?

Im going to assume that you have a vacuum operated mix door since there is no other explanation for the door closing when you slow down. Having said that now you need to look for a vacuum leak between the mix door and the intake manifold, it could be a cracked tube or it may have gotten loose where it connects and when the vacuum supply lessens ( such as when you idle down )it loses its seal.
