Some of these models had problems with the switch itself; You may want to replace it.

Blown fuse, defective blower motor resistor pack, blower motor, or blower motor switch. This happened to me and I found a connector at the fan motor had fried. I changed the connector and it worked great.

It means that when it only worked on high, that the resistor in the blower fan wiring went bad and the only speed the fan would run on would be a speed where NO resistor was being used, which is the high setting. Your fan went bad because it WAS only running on high for so long and now the entire assembly needs replaced. It's a PITA to get to because it's up in the dashboard so while you're in there, change out your heater core and wipe everything clean.

check to see if you have fire to the motor with a test light.if you have fire there it's the motor if not it could be a relay or the switch. also check the heater motor resistor (bottom of heater box, front passenger side, left foot area) I have replaced 2 on mine in 30k miles. first time failed only the low blower setting worked, second time I had nothing. its a dealer item, about 12 bucks, simple install.

Well i heard plenty of reasons but the one that actually worked for my olds intrigue 98' was replacing the blower motor resistor which cost about 20 bucks or so.....hope this helps

I had the same problem, no radio or blower or heater controls. It was fuse f11, on the top row of the two, nearest the back. It looked ok, but when I changed it anyway, they all worked again. Hope this helps
