Hey Pat YOur owners manual should tell you which maintaince is required when. If you don't have an owners manual sometimes you can get one at MOTORLIT.COM. GoodluckJoe

As stated, it is a reminder to change your oil. To reset it, push the odometer button until it shows the actual odometer (not the trip odometer). Hold the odometer button in while you turn the key on and of (don't start the car). When you turn the key on again you'll see a set of lines there, which disappear one by one, once they are all gone you can let go of the button. This resets it for another 5000 miles.
