NO, but follow torque instructions in the repair manual. I find "Motor's" the best one, available at Trak Auto or Auto Zone, for example.
Tools needed to replace front brakes 2002 Ford Focus?
How do you replace front wheel bearing on a ford focus
$2500 I'd say about that
A wheel bearing could be going bad in a 2002 Ford Focus if a grinding or rubbing sound is heard. A trip to a mechanic is advised as a bad wheel bearing that's not fixed can lead to damaged brakes.
In the south of England approximately £100 including parts and labour.
Estimate Front one side $380.00 Estimate Rear one side disc brakes $285.00

You need a bearing puller.
Focus is a front wheel drive vehicle. The wheel bearings are of the sealed variety. It's pressed into the hub. Take it to a machine shop to R and R.
take off the wheel pop out the dust cap with a flat head and than loosen the nut its a 30 mm... I'd like to add.... depends on what you want to do... if your changing the brakes... there are four bolts at the back of the plate that you can remove... this will make it easier... don't have to worry about damaging the bearing... if you want to replace the bearing, then yes, use the 30mm and take the bolt off...
I had to change the bearings in the wifes Focus. Release emergency brake with car securely on stands. Remove rear brake drum. The bearing is pressed in to the drum. If you do not have a press take the drum and new bearing to a shop. Do not attempt to hammer the new bearings in. You can very easily damage them. They are expensive.
