Twist the socket containing the bulb slightly to left, or it may be to the right, and it will unlock from the taillight assembly and pull the socket out toward you.
When replacing the bulb, make sure it is pushed completely down into the socket or you risk the bulb falling out when you reinsert the holder into the taillight. I know from experience
