There are a few issues that can cause a 2006 Chevy Suburban to not start on first crank. These can include a dead or drained battery, problems with the fuel system, or issues with the starter.
Right above the starter, but you'll have to first drop the starter to get access to the CPSensor. my son in law has a 99 suburban 5.7 and the crank sensor is located on the passenger side of engine at the front by the timing chain cover.
My first stop would be the dealership. If you do not want to do that you could go to chevy.com to check out the Chevy Suburban. They would have all the info you need to make your decision.
First find the crank sensor and then kick the crap out of it :D
my 2002 Chevy Malibu theft system is faulty if the car doesnt start whyen u first crank jit the theft light blinks and u have to wait 10 min while it flashes till it stops then turn the key of then start it what could be the problem.
Fusible links are found throughout the engine compartment on a 98 Chevy Suburban 5.7 L. They provide the first line of defense to prevent electrical components from being damaged from a surge.
it can be replaced but check the resistors first they are probably the cause
First check battery it was on its side also, do headlights work when starting engine if not replace battery.
The rear door lock on a 1996 Chevy Suburban will not open if the mechanism has become jammed or the child lock switch has been flipped. If the child lock has been engaged, they must be unlocked from the front first.
You must first remove the transmission and fly-wheel. Then you will see the 1 piece seal on the crank shaft. Pry it out, it will pop out. Then install new seal in it's place. A seal driver is the best tool to use. Be sure you clean the area good, and put some oil on the crankshaft before sliding the seal over the crank.
if i remember correctly when you first crank the engine the oil pressure should be around 60psi. after it warms up about 40psi.
My first guess would be fuel pump failure.
