The main purpose of the health care reform is to help out the 50 million people on America who do not have health insurance and to help people who have health care conditions but are being refused coverage from insurance companies, or are being charged huge prices.

[in no particular order] 1) failure to reform malpractice law [assuming it needs reform]; 2) opposition to the idea that the Federal government can require one to purchase a private product; 3) a belief that the same thing could be accomplished by other means such as income tax incentives, health savings accounts, etc.

They did not have military health care if they were not near military bases. Some of them had health care through jobs or they purchased health care plans on their own. Health care was more affordable in the 1940s so a doctor visit to your home or an officed was not immpossible for the Americans. Hospital visits were lower cost then too and people could make payments to hospitals.
No. There are 2 bills in the Senate, 1 in the House, 1 bill being drafted by the Senate Finance committee and the President's proposal None of them propose offering health care insurance to illegal aliens. That said, it would be cheaper to offer insurance to illegal aliens since the Tax payer already pays for their health care. When an illegal alien gets sick, they go to the hospital. The hospital by law, can't not treat the person so those costs (which are much higher then if the illegal alien had insurance and went to a doctor's office) are paid for by tax payers.

1) De-regulate the federal stranglehold on going outside state borders for health insurance. If one can buy car insurance outside the residential state, should go the same for health care. 2) Tort reform. Disallow lawyers suing for hundreds of millions of dollars for a bad foot / knee / whatever job. 3) Keep lawyers out of health care. If a ruling about a law should be made regarding the medical industry, ask doctors and nurses, not bureaucratic and morally stagnant politicians.
In my point of view Allied health professions are health care professions distinct from dentistry, nursing and medicine and pharmacy.[1] One estimate reported allied health professionals make up 60 percent of the total health workforce.[2] They work in health care teams to make the health care system function by providing a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and direct patient care and support services that are critical to the other health professionals they work with and the patients they serve.
2 that I think of are: We understand better how to take better care of ourselves - have good health longer. We also live in a cleaner environment.
