In most places, age 18 is the legal age to make these decisions on your own. There is certainly nothing morally wrong, or abnormal about it, either. A friend at work has a wife 13 years older than he! (They are a great couple!)
Being Christian doesn't specify how old you must be to date someone, so if the parents allow, then there is nothing morally wrong with it.
