check for spark and fuel pressure I just had this problem with a 1989 Cherokee and had to have a Cranking Sensor installed.

check the axles. if the axles are the same and its the same lug nut pattern then yes it should work just fine.
If the starter just spins and does not engage then you have low battery or a stuck 'bendix' on the starter. -Running hot is a separate problem that may happen for any number of easons.

On my 1993 Grand Cherokee, it is located just below and behind the water pump.
The heater core may be plugged or bad. You can either flush the heater core and the 2 lines running thru the firewall to the heater core or you can replace the heater core.
I don't really know. But if it's out of warranty I wouldn't worry about it. Britt Additional Info: Check the fluid level on flat ground with the engine running - it might be a little low.
each rearend is esentially the same but the suspensions are very different. you CAN swap them out. but they will not be bolt on. you have to cut tabs and perches off of the Cherokee rear and replace them with grand Cherokee mounts and perches. you will have to grind and weld and so on. VERY big job. just find a grand Cherokee rear end with the same gear ratio and you will be fine
