Did you replace the FUEL FILTER when you replaced the fuel pump?
Pull out a spark plug, rest it on a piece of metal under the hood, have someone crank the engine, and see if it sparks. If not, check for a spark at your ignition coil by doing the same thing. If you still have no spark, check your distributer cap and rotor, they may need replaced, or the whole distributer may need replaced. Distributor module and crank position sensor
If the TPI (throttle position sensor) is bad, you will have a fault code set in the computer. To check it, with a scope, graph the signal while opening/closing the throttle. The signal should be a smooth wave, if there are any dips, the sensor should be replaced. The contact can wear in the position the blades are at during normally driving, especially if you many due highway constant speed driving.
One that can easily be replaced
have you replaced the fuel filter ??? It may be resticting flow of fuel
A 2001 Chevy Blazer does not have a carb. It is fuel injected and has a throttlebody. If the fuses and relays check okay and the fuel filter has been replaced, I would suspect the fuel pump has failed.
i had the same problem with mine after hundreds of pounds turned out to be the optical sensor in the distributer
Timing is probably off. Set number 1 piston at TDC and check the timing marks. If applicable, also remove cap from distributer and check position of rotor, it may need adjusting for correct timing.
The Secretary of Defense. Hope that this helped.
It has to be replaced. no adjustments.
Check the starter, spark plugs, distributer cap, battery.
it`s in the distributer. you have to replace the whole thing to fix it, you cant just swap the internals. but if its having idle problems and you checked the check engine light, and it showed camshaft sensor it may be the fuel pump, that's what happend to me and i replaced the whole ignition system till i figured it at. good luck
