Believe it or not, water pumps can leak intermittently. If you can see it leaking there, replace the water pump.
race bikes are cooled by air air circulation but in sports bike they are cooled by oil coolant
antifreeze coolant
The TTR125 uses an air cooled engine, there are no radiators to put coolant in.
NO dirt bikes are either air cooled (you will mainly find this on Chinese bikes) or they are cooled by coolant from a radiater, much like the one in your car.
The water cooled engine will typically be heavier, because you have to add in the water pump, the radiator and the water/coolant. The engine block itself may be lighter as there are passages drilled out for the water/coolant to flow through.
nothing, they are air cooled
the coolant goes through the radiator too fast to be cooled sufficiently. a thermostat will help get the engine to operating temp and the let only enough coolant through to keep engine at that temp. this slows coolant down enough to be cooled properly.
Off and cooled down. Putting cold coolant into a hot block can crack it. And it can damage the radiator, as well as spitting the coolant back at you.
Stand the bike upright and examine the coolant gauge.
When steam is cooled in the air, you can see it condensing into a mist. This process is called condensation.
Most motorcycles are air cooled not water cooled. But few are water cooled and any antifreeze can be mixed with water. Not true. Most water cooled motorcycles require special coolant. It is best to not automobile coolant because they contain "scrubber" agents to keep the cooling system clean. These additives can wear out pump seals, gaskets, and aluminum parts.
The Honda 450 foreman 98-04 is air and oil cooled and does not require antifreeze or coolant.
