A 1990 astro mini van backfired and stalled changed fuel filter turns over will not start?
fuel filter doesnt seem to be the problem. check continuity on the fuel pump or fuel pump relay. the relay is probably the best bet. best of luck I had similar problem with my 90 Astro. To fix I eplaced distributor cap and rotor. your Astro may also need a new ignition module which you will locate under the distributor cap. Good luck.

Its located underneath the truck about where the driver sits. It's pretty easy Yes, it is easy IF you have the right filter. Make sure you buy a Delco-Remy filter and…
How do you fix if the engine suddenly died on 1998 astro van I already replaced the fuel fiter the fuel pump still good I cant figure out whats wrong It crank but it wont start?
To remove the air cleaner from a 1986 V6 Astro van, simply locate the filter box above the radiator and remove the cover by flipping both of the metal clips. you can now pull the filter out and insert a new one, using the arrows as a guideline to make sure that the filter is facing the correct way. Clip the metal tabs back into place and replace the cover.
Remove fuel tank to access fuel pump The fuel filter is located on the driver' side near the fuel tank. It is about the size of one of those small tomato paste cans. I changed it out recently and thought it could have been located in an easier place to reach with my wrenches. Be careful you do not round off the fuel line nuts when removing.

It is along the frame rail near the outside of the car. It is a metal cylinder filter about 4inches long and maybe 1.5 inches diameter. There is an inlet line on one end and an…
