This will depend on where the child is born, If born within the us the child is considered a citizen and the mother will be given more consideration for a residential visa, PS check with Immigration and Naturalization Dept.

If a Nigerian mother who has a German residence have a baby in Germany does that make the baby a German citizen?

I don't think so. I know that the French have a law like that. But in TV they sometimes show that Children who have reached 18 are banished and send "back" to their parents origin country. Being born in Germany doesn't make you a German.

Your mother is a us citizen does that make you one automatically?

Yes.

Your baby is born in Canada but you are German?

If you are a German citizen, your child will be considered a GERMAN citizen. Unlike the US, there is no Canadian law that provides for so-called "anchor babies" - that is - just because your child was born in Canada does not automatically make it a Canadian citizen. There can be certain exceptions to this --- SEE BELOW LINK ---

If an American citizen gives birth in Jamaica will the child be able to president of the us?

When my American cousin gave birth in Africa, her daughter was automatically an American citizen. No... that would make the baby an American citizen... but it won't allow a Jamaican mother to stay in America neccessarily! The infant is an American citizen and usually all that is needed is the official birth certificate so the parent(s) have proof that the infant is indeed theirs. It would be in the best interest of the parents to contact the American Embassy in Kingston at 929-4850 for assistance.

Genetics do not make a baby, they determine whether the baby will be more like the father or mother. Genetics can help determine traits like a baby having hair or eye colour like the mother.
