If the high frequency sound is within hearing range, you can hear it as a high-pitched sound. If it's out of the hearing range you can't hear it, of course.
A higher pitch is what a musician would say.
A high frequency sound (one with a higher pitch) has a greater number of cycles per given time, creating peak amplitude a greater number of times. It therefore has lower wavelength.
High Sound
high pitch is high frequency, low pitch is low frequency

The definition of sound is : "Vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a person's or animal's ear." Sound can be measured by amplitude (loudness) and pitch (The frequency of the vibrations). Therefore sound does not affect frequency but frequency affects the pitch of the sound.
Ultrasound cannot be heard as it has a higher frequency than audible sound, with a frequency above 20000Hz.
volume/frequency
high
I think it might be so it is heard over a longer range than if it were a high frequency, where it would die out.
For the human ear, sound is audible in the range of 20 Hz (Hertz) to 20000 Hz. Sounds below 20 Hz are "infrasonic" and have too low a frequency to be heard; sounds above 20000 Hz are "ultrasonic" and are too high a frequency to be heard.

The frequency of a sound wave determines the pitch. So if there is high frequency it means that the sound will also be high pitched. If it is low frequency that means the sound will be low pitched.
that would be high pitch
a frequency higher then the original frequency...
No. High pitch = high frequency = short wave
the best describes a high frequency sound is high pitch!!..
.The frequency increases
Really high
high
