The mechanical advantage of a compound machine is the multiple of the separate mechanical advantages of each simple machine.
The efficiency of the compound machine is also the multiple of the separate efficiencies of each simple machine.
So the work in to the first machine multiplied by all of the simple machine efficiencies gives you the work out of the last machine
3 rd order lever
Except first order lever, both second and third order levers will not change the direction of force. Hope I have given the right one. I am not sure about the idea behind the question.
If I'm not mistaken, there is no machine that can reduce friction. The machine is intended to change the distance the input force is applied over or to multiply the output force. The moving parts of the machine will always increase friction. In order to reduce the extra friction (but not completely remove it), one would use a lubricant or reduce the roughness between two surfaces. Hope it helps.
A school bus is a compound machine because it combines multiple simple machines working together. In order to power a school bus you use a lever to turn the key, a plank to get the gas from the tank to the engine, and the engine uses gears to work.
there is more work needed to operate a machine then the work the machine does its self is because the machine has to be told how to do things the right way. therefore people need to tell it how to do the correct thing. the more work the people do, the more work the machine does, so you could say its almost equal. ======================================== Very nice but, unfortunately, unclear on the concept. Instead of "work", let's say "energy". They're the same thing, but it might help me get the point across better. A machine can't 'make' energy. All the machine can do is take the energy you put into it, and change it to a more convenient form in order to do what you need done. But it turns out that you must always put more energy into the machine than the useful energy that comes out of it. That's because some of the energy is always lost in the process of operating the machine ... on account of friction, air resistance, unintended heating ... things like that. We do everything we can to make the loss as small as possible, so that we don't lose too much of the energy that we paid for. We do things like using grease, oil, and roller bearings to reduce friction between machine parts, using thicker wire in an electrical circuit to reduce its resistance, and streamlining cars and airplanes to reduce air resistance. We've learned to reduce the losses quite well, but we can never completely eliminate them.

In order to operate a binding machine you do not need special training. It is pretty simple to operate.
A bike is not a simple machine. It's a collection of several simple machines ... specifically, in order to even be a "bicycle" it must contain at the very minimum two simple machines (two wheels and axles).

No, the fax machine needs only to be hooked to a working telephone line to send and receive faxes.

In order to find a gold calculator, it requires a very simple search. Google has a very simple and easy calculator to use and so does GoldCalculator.
In order to become a crane operator you will need to get crane operator training. This will enable you to operate a crane for a variety of construction jobs.
No, its not simple. It requires a sophisticated balance of temperature, pressure, and moderation in order to sustain a critical nuclear fission reaction.
The state of Arkansas a requires a person to be 14 years old in order to obtain a moped permit. You need a drivers license or a permit to operate a moped.
The Leapforg Phonics Writing Desk is a great resource for children and is battery powered. It requires the use of three triple A batteries in order to operate.
It's a 2nd order lever. Water is pivot, boat is load, arm is effort. An oar is a lever
