Well knowing the Pokemon company, they always make 3 games ... both of the first ones have exclusive Pokemon's and the third one is a directors cut. so i would say that Diamond and pear are the same but platinum would have a few noticeable differences.

The grade AA 5 is not a common grade for diamonds. If this is the only grade given for the stone you are buying, you might be buying something other than a diamond.
