All birds have a body covering of feathers. It is sometimes referred to as the bird's plumage.

These feathers may be different in structure, depending on the species, but having a body covering of feathers is one of the defining characteristics of birds.

Owls are a group of predatory birds who are active primarily at night. While there is great variation in coloration, size, feather type and shape and facial structures, there are some commonalities. First, they are all birds, which means they have two hindlimbs adapted to grasping prey and perches, two forelimbs that are wings, are covered in feathers, etc. Owls tend to have broad, thick wings relative to their body size that are densely covered in feathers to allow them to fly silently. They have large eyes on the front of their face with exception night vision.
