Is the Boston terrier good with kids?

Yes, in fact Boston Terriers thrive well in homes with children. They make great family dogs and they don't cost a whole lot to care for, so they're really good for families with a low income.

Many breeds of dogs are good with children, and mant are not. A Boston Terrier s good with older children (5+), but not any younger than 5 years of age.

Actually, I have been around Boston Terriers for years and so have my children, from age 2 to 13. The only time they might not be good around small children is if you rile them up playing ball or something and the child gets accidentally knocked over. They are wonderful dogs, but like any dog, could bump into a smaller child in their excitement. Bostons can be a quiet lap dog just as easily as they can be a fun loving playtime dog, they are very good at both and usually take cues from their owners on which they should be at any given moment.

Hello. I have a Boston terrier and she is wonderful. She Is great with children even me because im 13 . I take her for walks all the time and she loves to play with kids. She has a very unique personality not like most dogs. But with my dog she is very protected . Once i had her out at 9 pm and someone walked past and she started to charge at bark at them because they are very well watch dogs. If i had to recommend a small dog with a great personality it would be the Boston terrier. I hope this helps :)

Yes Boston Terriers are good with kids, most Boston Terriers love all people unless they have been abused. If you have small children you need to supervise closely when you have a Boston Terrier puppy, you should not allow the children to pick up the dog and walk with him or her, if the dog and this is any dog is dropped and hurt when young they will associate that pain and fear with kids. I have a Boston Terrier, she is one year old and loves children, adults and dogs.

Absolutely - they are the best. Great for kids. Very energetic and super smart. They LOVE people and are willing to please.
