It's the exact opposite. A young animal actually tends to have its hind end higher than its front, and this is mainly because the hind legs are longer than the front.

No. This is merely urban legend spun by a bunch of mountain hillbillies trying to spin tall tails to some city slicker friends which all to often can't discern fake from reality.

How do cows kick?

When a horse runs on the left lead (the left front leg reaches farther than the right leg) the hooves land in this order: Right hind, left hind, right front, left front, repeat. When on the right lead, the hooves land in this order: Left hind, right hind, left front, right front. There is also a short period where the horse is completely airborne after the last front leg hits the ground. Then it starts over.

Why does cow has a long face?

Because that's how they've been created. Long-faced cows are able to take up a lot of good forage in a shorter amount of time than shorter-faced cows.

How are the front and back legs of a frog different?

The hind limbs are much longer than the forelimbs, but forelimb to hind limb ratio is quite variable. Toads and toad-like anurans have relatively short hind limbs.

How long is a cows leg?

A cow's hind leg is typically longer than the front leg, just like our leg is longer than our arm. Leg length, however, depends on the frame size (which is height over width and depth of the animal, in a manner of speaking), and the breed. On average, the front leg of a cow is typically 24 to 30 inches long, and the back leg is 48 to over 50 inches tall. Taller cattle will have longer legs than shorter cattle, and miniature or low-line cattle are shorter in leg length than normal-sized or medium to large-framed cattle.

Why do thin cows have a shorter gestation period than normal conditioned cows?

I believe it would be the opposite; thinner cows carry their calves longer than cows with more condition on them. It also has to do with breed as well, since gestation length is heritable. But the main thing is that a thin cow does not have as much body reserves for the calf to, essentially, "feed" off of than a normal-conditioned cow does. As a result, calving difficulty is much higher, and post-calving weaning weights are a bit lower than from a normal conditioned cow.

How strong is a giraffe's neck?

Giraffes hind legs and front legs are both very strong, however, its front legs are just a bit stronger than the hind legs as they are shorter.

Are the giraffe's front legs shorter than the hind?

Yes, the front legs of a giraffe are slightly longer than the hind legs. If you look at a picture of a giraffe taken from the side, you can see that. The shoulders are higher up than the hips, and the back slants upward from the hips to the shoulders.

Are the toes on the front legs different than the hind legs on a frog?

The back legs are webbed, but the forelimbs are not. The forelimbs are basically the "front legs."

Why a frog's hind legs are stronger than its front legs?

The back legs are webbed because they are stronger. a frog uses its back legs to jump, and to swim. they hardly use front feet for swimming.

What is weird about manx cat?

A manx cat has no tail or a very short tail; generally shorter front legs than hind legs, so he always seems to be pointing downwards as he walks; and from personal experience, manx cats seem to be not as intelligent as domestic shorthair cats.

How many pounds of beef in a hind quarter?

Hind quarters have more tender cuts of beef than forequarters, and generally include the wholesale round, loin, and the flank; they will give more steaks and roasts, but will cost more per pound than a side or carcass. A hindquarter does not typically include the chuck, rib, brisket, plate, and full flank which are less tender cuts.
