In a conservative scientific sense, no because at the very base of the ecosystem are organisms that use sunlight for chemical conversions, e.g. plants, and various bacteria and archaea that may not in any way use other organisms as their main energy source.

However, more loosely speaking even plants "predate" on chemicals released by sunlight.

No, in fact most first level consumers are simply organisms that feed off plants or bacteria. Some organisms feed off of dead plant and animal matter called detritus. Those organisms that eat detritus are called scavengers, but are not necessarily the majority of first level consumers. Basically all first level consumers feed off of the producers in a food chain.
