Are black ops servers down?
of course not! for two reasons: 1. infinity ward created mw2 and therefor it is running on their servers. 2. mw2 is amazing and black ops will most likely suck (as it is made by treyarch). Activision(maker of both games) is smart enough to not shut down mw2 servers until at least mw3 and trayarchs next game.
Why does it take over 2 min to find a match on black ops...you used to find them in less than 30 sec. you never swiched internet eather?
Online gaming servers work differently depending upon the game and/or service being used. For example, for many games that use decentralized servers (for example, Battlefield 2) individuals can run their own copy of the server software and host games, which may or may not appear in a list for other players to choose from. Centralized game servers (for example, Call of Duty Black Ops 2) are organized by other servers to host the games that…
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 doesn't have dedicated servers, they are hosted by Infinity Ward. For Call of Duty: Black Ops you can either, 1. Rent a server from a server hoster- http://www.gameservers.com/blackops/ 2. Host your own server from your PC at home. You need to open certain ports on your router and download the Black Ops server tool from Steam tools. Hosting from your home will most likely lag.
I think this question is more of "Does Call of Duty: Black Ops have Co-op?" Well, it does, but they do not have it where you can get together and play missions together, but Zombies are back. In Multiplayer, you can make Private Matches (There are Dedicated servers, no more Public Matches like MW2) and Combat Training. With those, you can invite your friends and have some fun!
