Depending on the social group to which they belong, male Cheetahs will engage in solitary hunting, within pairs, or more rarely groups of three.
"In one Serengeti study by Caro and Collins (1987), 41% of the adult males were solitary, 40% lived in pairs and 19% lived in trios."
As they do not posess the physical prowess of Lions, their advantage is in their immense speed. Therefore they will more often than not prey on smaller animals they can kill on their own, unless when hunting in coalitions. Female Cheetahs, on the other hand, engage exclusively in solitary hunts, sometimes accompanied by older cubs to aid in their training. While male Cheetahs are sociable, they will rarely form groups of more than 2-3, although as their groups mainly consist of their own brothers, they form strong bonds and remain together for life. Females, while often living and hunting near their own female relatives, lead entirely solitary lives accompanied only by their offspring.
No usually Cheetah are solitary hunters, however there are cases know where a family of Cheetah brothers will hunt cooperatively.
Normally, only males do for a time. These groups are usually brother coalitions of three or four animals.
No, cheetahs usually hunt alone.
Like many abandoned organisms, and predators such as the cheetah, they simply search for food and shelter away from the "pack". However, if they're small infants, then there's a strong chance that the cheetah or another animals will not survive since it has not been taught how to hunt.
Technically, yes, a Gray Wolf COULD kill a Cheetah. But naturally, in the wild? -Probably NOT, as Cheetahs live in Africa and Gray Wolves live in North America. Plus, the wolf would have to CATCH the Cheetah first. No easy feat as the Cheetah has been clocked running 70 miles per hour. I disagreee because I wolf can run an hour without tiring. A cheetah on the other hand can only run for thirty seconds. That means a cheetah-feast for the wolf!
The Cheetah, lion, most cats that are in the deserts will take down a zebra. I believe even a willd pack of dogs will try
Cheetahs generally live a solitary life but are often found in groups of 2 to 4 cheetahs and sometimes more.
A cheetah wouldn't be much of a threat even to a fairly young rhino, the cheetah just wouldn't be strong enough. But for the bigger cats(particularly a pack of lions) a rhino calf is just another possible meal.
a cheetah jockey and a person that rides a cheetah carriage is called a cheetah rick, cheetah rickshaw, cheetah rickshaweror a cheetah rickshaw driver or a broccoli
1v1, the cheetah would probably win. But in a pack, hyenas could indeed kill a cheetah.I saw this in "African Cats" (Disney movie.) The hyena pack killed 2 baby cheetahs. :(
1.) They are both cheetahs. 2.) The cheetah is is the parent to the cheetah child
