No. Dairy products are generally defined as foods produced from cow's or domestic buffalo's milk or milk from other animals. Things such as cheese, cream, ice cream yogurt and butter are all dairy products.

Eggs are protein, they fall into the Meats section of the 'Food Guide Pyramid'.

Although eggs are commonly sold in the dairy section of most supermarkets, but dairy is, by definition, "any food made from milk or milk products." Eggs are not dairy, but rather considered in the realm of 'animal byproducts'.

Another hint that eggs are not a dairy product is that egg Allergies and dairy allergies are separate things.

I think you mean "Are eggs dairy products?", in which case the answer is technically no.

Dairy refers to either mammalian milk or a product derived from mammalian milk; since birds are not mammals, and eggs are not milk they cannot be dairy products.

However, people such as vegans who avoid dairy products for ethical reasons would usually avoid eggs for the same reasons.
