I've had a lot of hamsters (all colors, short hairs to teddy bears) and dwarf hamsters and never noticed that one sex was any more gentle than the other. The only problem I ever had was with one female dwarf who would never stop trying to bite. The rest have all been pretty gentle. You just don't want to grab them, or surprize them, poke at them when they're asleep or hurt them, then they may bite. Also if you have some food residue on your hands, they may think it's food and try to bite. I got an older female once from someone who hadn't handled her much. She was very "jumpy" at times and would try to run away but she never tried to bite and was very gentle about taking food from your hand.
Depends on what type of hamster you have. For example i use to havea female Dwarf hamster and let me tell ya she was MEAN! she loved to bite but we sold her on eBay cuz she was horible. and my friend had a male Dwaf hamster and if you bugged him to much he would get a little mean and nip at you. but i wouyld have to say yes some female hamsters are more aggresive the some male hamsters
have fun with your new/ old hamster

No, not particularly. It usually depends on the hamster. Remember that hamsters are nocturnal animals, so they are awake at night and usually function at night, so if you hear noises or the squeaky wheel at night, it's your hamster.
One difference is the Males will be more.....dominant. Protective. Sometimes even aggressive. Females, they like sleeping more.
it really depends but jus take ur pick,
males are usually better than females
It depends. They're mostly the same size, but it depends on the breed. Syrians and Teddy Bears are in the 'big hamster' breeds, and dwarf hamsters are usually smaller.
it depends on how you train them but i would say equal thow ;]
FEMALE
A female hamster will have a longer tail then the male hamsters and female's make more mess then male's.
It doesn't really matter but, most people purchase more male hamsters, rather than females. There is no reason, though. They just do!
Personally I think that male hamsters have a nicer temprement and are less teritorial than females. well can you be a bit more clear ?
I have read that a female hamster's hormones kick in every couple of days. This makes them very mean weekly. If I were you I would go with a male. You are much safer on getting a nicer hamster if you get a male. I would recommend a Syrian hamster. They are the nicest of all the hamster breeds. DO NOT keep them in the same cage. Syrian hamsters DO NOT get along with their own breed!!
All animals are territorial creatures. Hamsters are more aggressive animals when dealing with the same gender. If you have two male or female hamsters in one cage, you are begging for trouble.
I am not a hamster expert but i would say that a female would be better because males tend to be more aggressive
Get a female hamster as they look white and cute and the first thing that they are a lot more active than the male russians. They often climb on the treadmill and they keep themselves fit. Also they are less aggressive.
yes, all of my hamsters that i have owned, the girls have been more aggressive
ifyou spay a female or nueter a male rabbit it will make yhem live longer, br happier, and more friendly.)
Female hamsters are usually more grumpy than males, but that doesn't mean female hamsters are worse pets than males!
I have both males and females in my vast reptiles collection.
