Are human beings the only specie that practice monogamy?
No, there are many animals who mate for life. For example, Canadian geese, dingoes, the Australian sulfur-crested cockatoo, the red fox, and a great number of others animals aswell. Most birds pair up, some only during the nesting season, others for life. Take a browse in a wildlife book - you'll find it interesting to see just how many animals are monogamous.
