No, an instinct is an action or response that do without thinking but a learned behavior would be an action that you have learned or been taught. Although, a learned behavior can become an instinct.

Well, they're both behaviors.. That's all I can think of for similarities.. but if you want differences, here are some.

Innate - Instinct. Like breathing. You don't learn how to breathe.

Learned - Discovered through trial and error. With a human being, learning to walk would be learned. For a fish, swimming would NOT be learned.

The learned behavior was taught to them (For example- A fox) by their mother/father. An instinct was never taught to the baby fox, it was born with it. Kind of like a reaction. When someone tries to hurt you, you instinctively block it. When you are in a test you are answering questions you have been taught.
