Yes because they use less chemicals, last longer per charge and last through more charges

lithium batteries are non rechargeable. Lithium ion batteries are rechargeable.

lithium batteries last a lot longer than standard alkaline batteries and work well in digital cameras and stuff that are high drain.

NiMH is also good for the same purpose.

it depends on your preference. if you dont mind charging the batteries multiple times than go with NiMH. if you want to use something for a good while and throw them away, use lithium. both have their pros and cons.

Lithium batteries and nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries have different characteristics and are suited for different applications, so it depends on what you are looking for in a battery.

Lithium batteries have several advantages over NiMH batteries. They have a higher energy density, meaning they can store more energy in the same amount of space. This makes them smaller and lighter than NiMH batteries with the same capacity. Lithium batteries also have a lower self-discharge rate, meaning they can hold their charge for longer periods of time, and they have a longer lifespan with more recharge cycles. They are also generally safer than NiMH batteries, with less risk of leakage or thermal runaway.

On the other hand, NiMH batteries are better suited for applications that require high current draw, such as power tools or RC vehicles, as they have a higher discharge rate than lithium batteries. They are also more environmentally friendly, as they are made from non-toxic materials and can be recycled more easily than lithium batteries.

Overall, the choice between lithium batteries and NiMH batteries depends on your specific needs and the requirements of your application. Redway Power is a lithium battery manufacturing brand that provides efficient and reliabvle batteries for any purposes

What is Ni-MH battery?

A nickel-metal hydride cell, abbreviated NiMH, is a type of secondary electrochemical cell similar to Nickel Hydrogen cell.Applications of NiMH include all-electric plug-in vehicles and is used extensively in rechargeable batteries for most consumer electronics.

What is a car battery made of?

It is made of a plastic case, in which there are 6 compartments, inside each there are several plates made of a frame covered with a lead-based paste. These sit in an acid bath, which works with the plates to make a chemical reaction which makes the battery volts.

Why are rechargeable batteries only 1.2v?

The chemistry of the battery. Everything chemical has a certain electric potential. The battery voltage is the difference between these two potentials. The classical chemicals for batteries was carbon and zinc, which produce 1.5 V. Rechargables, which are based on nickel and cadmium or nickel and hydrogen, produce 1.2 V. The lead acid cells in your car battery, on the other hand, produce 2 V, and some lithium chemistries produce 3 V.

What is the best type of rechargable batteries?

If you're talking about battery sizes like AAA, AA, C, D and 9V, Ni-MH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) is the most common one, and as far as I know the only type in these sizes other than the now obsolete Ni-Cd (Nickel-Cadmium). Li-ion (Lithium ion) batteries have also been introduced in these sizes, but they have a significantly higher voltage and thus are not usable on regular battery-powered devices out of the box. The highest capacities for Ni-MH based batteries are something like this: AAA 1000 mAh AA 2900 mAh C 5000 mAh D 8000 mAh There are also newly-developed Ni-MH batteries with low self-discharge (LSD) like Panasonic Infinium and Sanyo Eneloop. These kind of batteries are particularly suitable for low consumption devices like clocks and remote controls, but they're also good for devices drawing high currents such as digital cameras. They apparently used to have a lower capacity than ordinary Ni-MH batteries, but currently the two types are pretty much on par. The LSD batteries can be marketed as "pre-charged" or "ready-to-use".

Can 1.2V batteries be used in place of 1.5V in all electronics?

Yes you can, but very rarely this can be bad for your device as it could have a massive difference if you use many batteries (e.g. if it is a device that needs 6 batteries the 1.2v altogether will be 7.2v and the 1.5v altogether will be 9v). It shouldn't cause problems as you are using only 4 but if it does try using Nickel-Zinc rechargeable batteries as the have a voltage of 1.6 which is closer to 1.5v.Previous Answer:yes you can.... but whatever device that you are powering will recognize the lower voltage as too low too early. This means that you will get significantly less run time on rechargeable batteries than you would on high quality alkaline. I wisht that 1.5 volt rechargeables could be made but apparently it is too difficult for their puny little minds to handle.

Which is better Lithium Ion or MAH batteries?

Lithium batteries last longer on a full charge, but are non-rechargable. Nickel metal hydride batteries are rechargeable but won't last as long per charge as lithium. Which is better depends on your needs.

What batteries are used in electric cars?

Nickel Metal Hydride or Lithium Ion batteries are the most widely used.

What kind of batteries are used in an electric car?

Nickel Metal Hydride or Lithium Ion batteries are the most widely used.

What is the d batteries made of?

Some D batteries are made up of alkaline, zinc-carbon, lithium iron disulfide, nickel cadmium, and nickel-metal hydride.

List three types of batteries that might be used on notebooks?

NI-Cad (nickel-cadmium), NiMH (nickel-metal-hydride), and Lithium Ion

Types of D Batteries?

A D battery is one of the most recognized batteries available. However, there are many types of D batteries. The most standard is the alkaline. It is not rechargeable. Those made of lithium, also non-rechargeable, offer a greater life than the alkaline. There are two types of rechargeable D batteries. They are nickel metal hydride and nickel cadmium. The nickel metal hydride are now preferred as nickel cadmium are said to have environmental effects.

What is the metal in NIMH batteries?

Nickel nimh stands for "NIckel Metal Hydride"

Is nickel used in manufacturing some types of batteries?

Yes. It's used in Nickel Cadmium and Nickel Metal Hydride batteries.

How do I dispose of batteries properly?

Nickel cadmium batteries are considered as hazardous waste and can not be disposed off in normal waste. Those should be deposited in Household hazardous waste collection sites and these can not be recycled. Lithium/Lithium ion and Nickel Metal hydride are not considered as hazardous and can be disposed off as normal household waste.

Is cobalt used in batteries?

Yes, in nickel, metal, hydride and NiCad.

Laptop Battery Types?

When not plugged in, laptops require batteries to power the device. Battery types for notebooks can differ. Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) batteries are low in cost, versatile, and the first rechargeable batteries for laptops. Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries are significantly better due to improvements in capacity, safety, and reliability. Lithium Ion (LiON) batteries are most popular due to being lightweight and improved memory effect. "Smart" or "dumb" batteries are better at managing battery energy and reporting charge state.

What is an niMH battery?

nickel metal hydride; slightly higher voltage than Ni-Cd (Ni Cad, or Nickel Cadmium) and better for high current/high draw applications. Pre-2005 NiMh batteries had a higher self-discharge rate than those of today, which are typically purchased pre-charged. Li-ion (Lithium Ion) is probably a better rechargeable battery all-round.
