It's an unfortunate commentary on our society, that girls as young as 12 are expecting so much of their appearance. There is a lot of peer pressure and most of that comes from the entertainment media. It's perfectly reasonable to expect a 12 year old to still remain a child for a little longer. Physical activity and good eating habits are the best "medicine" for that age. If she expects too much from her appearance, perhaps it would be good to take her to a counselor. Don't wait until the problem becomes serious.
