Opinion: Basically, people are whoever they choose to be whether it is more evil than good or more good than evil. What people, normally, are not is one hundred percent of either side.

but to answer your question, man is not bad, because man was created by a good Creator, and a good Creator could not have created something that's bad, since in doing so would be against his very nature... however, since man chose to rebel and submit himself to Satan, he became contaminated by evil, and thus became subject to be influenced by either good or evil. therefore it is up to the man, using his freewill, to choose which path to take--to submit himself to goodness and thereby be come good, or to submit to evil and thereby become evil.

∙ 13y agoThat is a question that has long been debated by philosophers. According to Hobbes, human are naturally selfish and cruel, thus we are born bad. Others agree with him and others do not. I do not agree with him. According the the Catholic church original Human nature is good, called Original Justice. After the fall this was lost, but human nature cannot be called bad because it was created by God. Human nature is not the cause of sin, but once it comes into contact with sin, it can produce more sin.
