Are we speaking in relation to gravitational pull? If so, then yes. If not then it depends on the person and the culture which they are from to dictate prefference.
Americans don't seem to like larger girls because they see them as less feminine.
I do not really see why being very thin would be attractive, but I chalk it up to a fad. Curves are very nice to me. Obesity can be off putting but a nice looking girl who is lets say 5'5 and 150lbs is nothing to stick your nose up at.
I think that people expecting women to be very thin is silly. Women are supposed to have a decent amount of body fat, it's genetically imposed. So, if you do have some curves don't worry about it. Just keep healthy and fit, and like yourself. People who buy into the trend that you have to be stick thin are gullible morons who are less than original anyway.

If you watch Manswers (a tv show on the Spike network), one of things you will learn is that science has scientifically proven that men who are hungry will the attracted to "bigger girls". Why you ask? Because from an evolutionary standpoint, your brain is telling you that they have the resources your body desires.
Which they will tell you is "why you may not want to go to a bar hungry, because you might bring home a bigger girl" or something like that.
