No, tampons are not suppose to hurt. The first time that you use a tampon then it may feel uncomfortable or you may feel a little pressure, but once you use a tampon then your body will get used to it and it won't hurt!

Hope this helped.(:

You may be using a tampon that is to large for you. Try a smaller size and pull it out after you have urinated. Sometimes your urine can act as a lubricant to allow the tampon to slide out easier.

No, it shouldn't hurt to take a tampon out. You may be dry down there or your tampon might not be fully ready to come out yet. You might feel pressure sometimes, but that is about it. It is different for everyone, but in my experience then it doesn't hurt. Maybe your body isn't used to it yet. People also have different pain tolerances so it really depends on who you are.

It would only hurt if you are removing them before time and so it is too dry; when a tampon is full of menstrual blood it glides out easily. Remember, though, not to leave it in for more than 8 hours. If you have this problem often, you should switch to a smaller size tampon.

Usually if it hurts wile taking out a tampon is because you left it in to long and the blood in the middle of the tampon has dried and has therefor made the tampon less flexible or you are taking it out to soon and all the blood has gone to the middle of the tampon leaving the rough dry edges of the tampon.

Try putting lube ( prefiribly astroglide because it's the safest for your body) around the plastic applicator prior to insertion. They hurt because they are huge, and when you put them in you are probably nervious about the pain. I hate 'em

Try taking some advil afterwards. Also never buy sented pads or tampons

or rub your vagina until you are wet then put it in, should go in nice and easy that's how i do it :)

No, it isn't supposed to hurt when you take out a tampon.

  1. Make sure you're using correct absorbency - always use lowest absorbency for your flow, if the tampon isn't saturated in blood after 4-6 hours you need to use lower absorbency and if already using the lowest absorbency switch down to pads as your flow is too light for tampons.

  2. Make sure you're relaxed - your vagina is a muscular tube so if you're tense your vaginal muscles tense causing the vaginal walls to clench around the tampon, thus when you're pulling you are essentially playing a game of tug-o-war with your own vagina and the tampon.

  3. Check your hymen isn't getting in the way - sometimes tampons can get caught behind your hymen so when pulling the tampon you're pulling against your tampon, look in the mirror to check this isn't the problem. If this is the problem push it out the way or remove at an angle.

  4. Consider the type of tampons you're using - commercial tampons are made from rayon which is rougher and more drying than cotton so can increase irritation and vaginal tissue damage, furthermore these contain various chemicals you may also be sensitive or allergic to.

If tampons continue to be uncomfortable for you, simply use something else - options like menstrual cups or softcups are better options as they're safer, more convenient, and more reliable too, you may also prefer options like sponges or soft tampons, otherwise pads are always an option too.

No, tampons can be uncomfortable for some but they shouldn't hurt you at all.

As long as you're relaxed tampons should go in without pain, whereas if you're tense vaginal muscles tense causing the vaginal canal to tighten so it's harder to push a tampon through and can hurt. If you use too high an absorbency this can hurt too as tampons are rough and drying so damage vaginal walls, friction from insertion can increase damage and thus make tampons painful to use.

Tampons should not hurt at all - when inserting tampons you're in control so if you do feel discomfort stop and address the cause - as long as you're relaxed and insert correctly it won't hurt.

Ensure you're using the lowest absorbency for your flow and ideally using cotton tampons, non-applicator are best as they're simpler and give better control, and try using lubrication at first. Relax, try masturbating prior to insertion as when aroused the vagina relaxes and opens, practice relaxing your vaginal muscles, and if you get frustrated go do something else to relax before trying again.

It will hurt if you aren't on your period ( I know some girls wear them all the time) and if you are still in your teens you shouldn't use one. Leaving a tampon in too long is not good either. Bacteria builds up and you can get an infection and it can kill you. I also suggest you try a different brand.

Some tampons are lubricated, and that makes them easier to insert. If you do not have enough lubrication, that can also cause pain when you put it in, and when you wear it. But if worn correctly (and inserted correctly), you should not be able to feel a tampon once it's in place. I agree that you may want to try several brands to find one that is most comfortable for you.

Do tampons hurt when you first insert them?

Yes. Yes they hurt a lot. No they are actually not supposed to hurt a lot. They could be not comforting but they shouldn't hurt. If it does hurt then you might not have put the tampon in far enough and you have to adjust it or take it out and put a new one in. Just remember to relax and don't think about it to much.

Why does it hurt to take a tampon out but not put it in I was relaxed while taking it out too but after about 10 minutes of calmly trying I broke out in tears why wouldn't it come out?

I have the exact same problem today, it doesnt hurt AT ALL when i put it in, then when i go to pull it out it starts to hurt and even burn a little and i panic. Somebody said its because a flap of skin goes over the tampon and you have to move it before you pull it out so its not in the way... Never tried that yet but let me know if it works this didnt really tell you why but after the usenof a tampon it expands as it absorbs so you will find that your takin something bigger out than putting something smaller in!

I'm terrified to put a tampon in so I need help?

It's not that terrible. Trust me.It will be less terrifying if you use plastic tampons. cardboard ones are much more uncomfortable. Make sure your flow is heavy so it doesn't hurt when you pull it out because if you have a dried bloody tampon it'll hurt! There is only one comfortable place to put in your tampon. Don't try putting it into your poo hole. it would be very bothering to put it in the pee hole, so there must be one right in the middle!Relax. To make it fast, pull the tampon out of the plastic tube just a tiny bit so you can take out the plastic tube faster. when you know the whole tampon is in, gently pull out the plastic tube. It's okay if you don't get it in the first time. It may take at least 3 tries the first time you try it.You're pretty much done! don't keep your tampon on for more than 8 hours. The average is about 1 - 3 hours. just pull the string out slowly.

What does it mean when you put the tampon in you stop bleeding but take it out you bleed?

Tampons cannot cause your period to stop, menstruation is shedding of the uterine lining and controlled by hormones so nothing in your vagina can impact on menstruation in that way. Your flow is light or not consistent, the fact you're using tampons has no relationship to that at all.
