Do gillette mach3 razor blades work in gillette fusion razors?

I don't think there is. I inspected and took apart each type of blade and I could find no difference except for the color. So I've been buying the manual fusion blades and using them in my fusion power.

How many blades does the Gillette Fusion razor have?

5 YEARS - Fusion blade lifeI just turned 40 and had to give back a present a family member had already given me years before... OK it was almost 5 years ago (and still the razor I was given still works. The Gillette Fusion Power Brrrrrrrr razor still works. When I ask my mates how long the blade lasted they all have different time scales. I still win as I'm still using the original blade on my Gillette Fusion since xmas 2007.I keep telling peeps but they don't believe me. I know you guys can help as it would not be financially beneficial.I have a smooth shave with a blade I got in 2007. Why should anyone listen to your adverts sayini you need to spend £7.99 every month to get the best shave? So why don't you advertise that we should change the bade before the 5yr period is up?

Generally how many shaves should you get from a Gillette Fusion Power razor?

I find this a very interesting question. I was just thinking the same thing this morning. The fusion razors are - in my opinion - very expensive. Yet it has given me the best shaves. Even the females in the house use them on their legs, and rave about them! I never get cut anymore, and it is always a close shave. As to how many shaves you can get I would imagine would depend on the thickness of your beard. I'm still trying to make them last as long as I can because of the price. Well, I'm still in the test mode as to how long they will last before it gets uncomfortable. Viper1 I just starting using the fusion and it's amazing. I agree that it is on the expensive side. Almos double what I normally pay for a blade. So far, I've gotten 4-5 shaves out of it and I'm starting to feel the difference. (Answer #3) I agree that after 4-5 shaves the Fusion blades become noticeably dull, which I think is an outrageous lack of stamina for a blade that costs more than the venerable and excellent old Trac II razor did for many, many years. IMO, for the money Gillette extorts from men on the Fusion "shaving system", it should at least last as long as a "disposable razor"! Gillette should be ashamed of selling us this instantaneously-dulling blade, instead of dancing the weekly jig over Fusion's immense profits as I'm sure they do. I hate to say it, but there simply is no smoother, closer and easier shaving than that given by the Fusion. It is one of life's hidden pleasures to attack a 2-day beard with a brand-new Fusion cartridge in the hefty handle. Although my whiskers are tough as barbed wire, a new blade almost wipes them from my face as if they were mere soap lather. And I simply cannot cut myself with a Fusion. I'm currently suffering through a misguided experiment with Quattro, which followed an even worse experience with a huge bag of Gillette disposables. I had gone in search of a new razor after getting fed up with feeling like I have been taken advantage of by Gillette and the Fusion's ridiculously short blade life. But I only lasted a week or so with the disposables: my face was like hamburger and I looked like I had a 5 o'clock shadow right after shaving. I'm in my second week with Quattro, but they're light as a feather, and I have to bear down hard and keep shaving the same area over and over to get anywhere near to a close shave. I give up - Fusion wins. I just wish there were the slightest bit of honor and decency at Gillette, because I am convinced the Fusion's blade could be made to last at least twice as long with very little or even no price increase. It's simply defies logic that two blades of the Trac II can last 3X longer than the 5 blades of the Fusion. It's as if Gillette thinks we can be fooled into believing that a set amount of durability must be distributed among the blades, so that if we have more blades, then there's less "durability" to go into each blade. (Dear God, I can so easily imagine some bright & eager Gillette drone making that argument to the public!) Well, I guess I've convinced myself to eat the $ I've spent on the Gillette disposables and the Quattro (and 24 cartridges!). I've just thrown that money away. Plus I'll have to spend about $26 for a big package of 17 new Fusion cartridges at Sam's Club. But I think it's worth it to have a smooth, cool face, uncut face.
