If a storm containing lightning occurs most rides will shut down. Also, most rides will close during rain lightning or not.

I can't really say but i can tell you both are great parks. Six flags has more extreme rides but Dorney Park has less even though Dorney park rides are more extreme than six flags. Six flags have relaxing rides that are still kind of moderate like the log ride. In my opinion both are great but six flags has more rides and the park is bigger. Go have fun
