Yes there are 6 Sailor Moon series, there is the first one which covers the Dark Kingdom arc, there is Sailor Moon R which covers the Black Moon arc, there is Super which covers the Death Busters arc, there is SuperS which covers the Dead Moon Circus arc, there is Stars which covers the Sailor Galaxia and there is the sixth one, Sailor Moon Crystal however Crystal has no ties to the other 5 seasons because it's a reimagining of the manga version of Sailor Moon.

There are five total seasons to the Sailor Moon anime:

• Sailor Moon (sometimes referred to as Sailor Moon "Classic" by the fans), the first season, equivalent to the Dark Kingdom/introductory arcs of the manga, when we meet all the Sailor Soldiers and discover their foe, Queen Beryl;
• Sailor Moon R (broken into two parts: Returns and Romance, though the "R" was never subtitled with either word), the second season featured a first part that didn't have a manga equivalent, which tied the ending of the first season (which differed from the manga) to the start of the second season. This covered the "Makaiju" alien/tree arc, and also the Black Moon arc. This was the first season which had a feature film made for it, which carried the English subtitle "Promise of the Rose." The special "Make Up! Sailor Senshi" aired with the Japanese release of the film.
• Sailor Moon S (which stands for "Super"), the third season which introduced Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn, as well as the reintroduction of Sailor Pluto after her few appearances in Sailor Moon R. Sailor Moon S featured the Death Busters as the Sailor Soldiers' foes. This season also had a feature film made for it, given the English subtitle "Hearts in Ice." The movie was roughly equivalent to Volume 11 of the original Sailor Moon manga/the Snow Princess Kaguya side story.
• Sailor Moon SuperS (which stands for "Super Soldiers"), the fourth season featured Sailor Chibi (Mini) Moon, and introduced the new villains, the Amazons and Queen Nehellenia. This was the last season to have a feature film for it, subtitled "The Nine Sailor Senshi Gather! Miracle in the Black Dream Hole." The English subtitle for the film was "Black Dream Hole." The special "Ami's First Love" aired with this movie.
• The fifth and final season, Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, is unique in that the producing studio (Toei) considers it separate from the rest of the Sailor Moon series. While it is somewhat equivalent to the "Stars" arc of the manga, there are some distinct differences, especially regarding the introduction of the new Sailor Soldiers, the Sailor Starlights, as well as the villain of the season, Sailor Galaxia and her Sailor Animamates.

The Sailor Moon live action series, "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" had only one season.

Apparently not. I've heard that there was too much violence, problems with the nudity because in season 5 (episode 200) Usagi was actually naked for over half of the entire episode (it's considered a japanese symbol of purity in Japan which Sailor Moon was originated in).

Last reason is that they couldn't get the rights and it would take a very long time for them to even finish Season 6 because there are 30 episodes needed and there were 34 in the last season (season 5).
