None if you are taking I-75
Tampa is about 230 miles away from Ft Lauderdale, Florida. I live in Tampa, and it takes about 3 hours driving time to get there from Tampa. If driving there from Tampa, it is best to take the Florida turnpike. Or, you can drive from Tampa south on I - 75 to Naples, and then go across the everglades, maybe even see some Alligators ? This route from Tampa takes longer, but some prefer it. Or, map quest will plot a route from Tampa avoiding toll roads. This is MY favorite way to get to Ft Lauderdale from Tampa. It is a scenic route from Tampa right through the heart of Florida, far away from the tourist traps and strip malls. It will allow you to see how Florida once was, before the Almighty developer dollar took over our State.
The driving distance is 75 miles. Since there is sometimes more than one route, including back roads, this is an approximate but accurate distance. It is based on the most well-known routes between these two locations.
The halfway point between Wheeling, West Virginia and Brooksville, Florida is Devils Cross Roads, SC.
