There are really only drawbacks if you are not healthy (like have diabetes or experience frequent indigestion). Some drawbacks may include tooth decay and the effects of pesticides. Just make sure to get the recommended amount (about 2 servings) each day and you should be fine. They are a much better alternative than other foods and have been shown to fight cancer, aid in heart health, and reduce obesity rates.
There is no disadvantages on eating fruits and veggs. This being because the have protein you need. There was an argument saying that to much fruit is bad for you because "sugar" in the fruit. That is incorrect the sugar is fruit is different then cane sugar and other artificial sugars. Your body already knows how to digest the sugar in the fruit easily. Just keep eating your Fruits and Vegetables :D
