gore, battle based anime (usually only make 1 or 2 seasons at most)
intense, very good plot line, battle anime (these kinds can make it to 10 seasons easy, they are ones like bleach)
ones like these are shoen based, if based on manga.
love story driven anime (these cant make it to far, 5 seasons maybe, because you cant push love storys very far, after they fall in love theres no where else to go. ones like clannad)
battle, love story anime (these can continue even after the characters get together because its pretty easy to make enemies that can try to take them apart)
ones like these are shojo, if based on manga.
