Audition is a music editing software enabling multi track use amongst a million other functions. A staple piece of software for production and the radio industry.
Audacity.
No. Akai MPD are USB MIDI controllers and work with programs with MIDI capabilities. Audacity doesn't do MIDI.
Audacity is currently available for Windows, Apple OSX and Linux, and saves files in its own AUP Audacity Project file format. Audacity's native file format is NOT Wave (WAV) or MP3. You need to choose Export as Wave or MP3 in order to create a file that can be played back in other programs or transferred to an iPod.
You can remix songs using programs like Audacity and Fruity Loops. They allow multiple sound sources and tracks to be combined as needed.
There are several computer programs that show the audio in visual form and it can be manipulated. Audacity is a good free program. search for "Audacity recording software".
You can use Audacity to mix sound tracks. There are many other programs out there as well, but I mention Audacity because it is free (open source), has recording capability, and can mix any number of streams, limited only by memory and disk space.
A codec is somthing to install for things like Audacity Internet sounds or music or other audio.
There are many programs! You could use Windows Movie Maker, or Audacity to do this.
If you mean what I think you mean...you can use Audacity, which is a free way, but there are tons of programs that do this.
Depending on your remixing needs, you may need different kinds of programs. Personally, I use Acoustica Mixcraft and Audacity to do my mixing. Using Audacity, you can record Mixcraft's output and export it as an MP3 without buying a license.
There are many different programs that allows you to do so just depends on your knowledge and patience with computer programs. Here are a couple that I found Audacity, and Cdex.
Apple does not support OGG and has no programs that create/play those files. However, there are many open-source programs that work with OGG files. I use Audacity. It is free and you can download it on http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity and it works very well. It is a sound editor that can export to OGG. Just open your wav, mp3, aiff, or any other audio file with Audacity, and then go to File->Export, add metadata, select OGG as file type, and press Save. OGG tip: always save OGG files with the lowest quality option (0). It creates 2-3 times smaller files than mp3 with quality like an avreage mp3!
