Yes. There are about a dozen different species of penguin that are regular inhabitants of New Zealand, including the sub-Antarctic islands such as Campbell, Auckland etc. We occasionally have rarer visits of other penguin species.

There are some penguins that are native to the New Zealand mainland, and the Chatham Islands.

The Blue Penguin, the Yellow Eyed Penguin, and another four species of the Eudyptes penguins - the various Crested penguins..

Flying squirrels, which are not truly "flying" creatures, are not found in New Zealand. Flying squirrels are found in North America.

No. Puffins do not live in New Zealand or anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere. Puffins are found in habitats of the Atlantic.
