Best Answer

Feral camel numbers in Australia today are estimated at more than 500 000, with approximately half of them in Western Australia, and they continue to increase. Some estimates place the population at closer to one million.

There is an excellent video called "Camels gone wild!" that follows a herd of wild and woolly Camels to Fort Lauderdale for spring break. Stay away from Camels in a mosh pit as they can be very dangerous.

Depends on which one you are looking for.

The Dromedary or Arabian camel can be found in the Middle East and the area known as the horn of Africa. There's even a thriving wild population in Australia, formed by animals left over from the early days of exploring and colonization.

The Bactrian camel is found in centra Asia.

No.

There are no wild camels left anywhere. Even the Dromedaries in the Australian outback are technically feral.
Only in Zoos and in captivity. They are not native to America.
