Are you overweight if you're 11 and 5'5'' and weigh 122 pounds and how can you lose weight?
No you are not at all overweight, a little underweight if anything.
You are just very tall for your age and all your shorter friends will be saying that they weigh 98 pounds or whatever, but that it because they are shorter.
Don't try and lose weight, just eat sensibly and exercise. You will probably find that by the time you are 14 (a long time I know) most of your friends will have caught you up in height and weight.
Ofcourse your NOT overweight. You are PERFECT the way you are. Please dont try to lose any weight. It would just make you look extremely gaunt if you do. SO DONT LOSE WEIGHT....

What should your weight be if you're 11 years old and 5'2'' and weigh 136 pounds and want to lose weight really bad?
work out 4 like an hour or 30 minutes a day do this 4 a week or 2 and thoes lbs will shed off I think you should do lots of exercise, but make sure you do a variety of things. like for the first day, go and jump on a trampoline with your friends, or play fetch with your dog and chase him around…. Then, the next day you could go for a jog or do sit-ups or anything like that. Then the day after that walk, or do something not as hard-core. The next day take a break, then repeatt. It's also important to maintain a healthy diet, so talk to your parents/ doctor to figure out the best diet plan for you. NEVER THINK OF SKIPPING MEALS! It's O.K to skip on the snacks, but do not skip meals, that actually makes you gain weight! Tjis happens because your body thinks it won't be able to get more food later, so it builds up more fat cells, it also makes you over-eat on your next meal! *NOTE: For the work-outs: make sure you do each activity in a gradual change. Don't do 10 sit-ups today and then 50 tomorrow. Gradually change each day! ( Full Answer )

Excercise, eat properly and little and often. If you burn more than you put in you will inevitably lose fat. Please remember - don't focus on the weight as such, but the fat amount and how you feel. Muscle weighs more than fat ! Walk, swim and if you don't already own a bike, get your family to buy …you one. Cycle to school, the shops instead of using cars or buses. 1/2 hour a day can make all the difference. And don't try to change it all at once - be patient and introduce one thing at a time. And try to enjoy it ! Most of all keep positive and focus on your ideal you, everyday imaginine yourself as you'd like to be and then pretend to be like it ! Answer . NO!! If you are 5'5" and weigh 130 lbs, your BMI is are 21, which is easily in the normal range. BMI ranges are as follows:. Underweight =
Yes, it is a little over weigh depending on your bone structure. If you are big bone it may not be. Hey my names Ashley and i don't think ur over weight, maybe a little above average.....but i wouldn't call urself over weight. But as the other writer said, it can depend on ur bone structure. So i …wouldn't worry.....i used to think i was fat.....im 12 years old and weigh 95 pounds......i don't think im over weight at all.....i don't know how old u are but don't worry about what other people say.....or even if its just u who thinks ur over weight. well i gotta go so please don't even think about it. Hi my names Lily, and im thirteen years old. I think Im fat weighing 140 pounds at 5'5 feet, but that's actually a normal body weight, I don't think you are overweight. I think your a little over average like ^Ashley said. But don't worry about it. Heres a few suggestions to help you lose weight , it worked for me: 1. Don't snack after dinner, your body is slowly starting to shut down to get ready for you to sleep. So all that food will stay in your body overnight and turn into fat. 2. Drink lots of water it will help drain your system of fat, and make you less hungry and you will feel more full. 3. 20 / 15 minutes before dinner eat an apple. Apples are healthy for you, so if you eat one at dinner you won't eat as much carbs at dinner. (my mom told me to do this). And a tip - never think about starving yourself , because your body will start to eat itself , obviously not healthy . Or you could start to pig out alot on junk food and end up weighing more than what you started with. I hope I helped you out. ( Full Answer )
none. youre metabolism will shut down as your body will assume it needs to save its fat stores because you are starving. approach this from the other end. keep your eating pattern the same (you sound like you are a healthy weight) and instead increase your aerobic exercise - perhaps by jogging every… morning for a week. buy a tape measure instead of a scale and keep track of your waist size instead of your weight (muscle weighs more than fat) About 1-2 lbs per day. But once you go back to eating normally, you'll gain the weight back just as fast. So have a plan once you plan to stop, like gradually increasing the amount of calories to get your body used to it (200 calories 1 day, 400 the next, ....) okay I'm just adding to this, because they say your a healthy weight. that's soo not true, if you put your weight and height into a bmi calculator you are obese. and actually you would lose weight, trust me i know. however don't starve yourself completely because then one day you'll wake up and crave everything that you really shouldn't eat. and even if you don't eat for one week, you won't not lose weight. because you will, i dunno who wrote that answer up above but they're obviously idiotic, or have never been anorexic. Well, I am on my fifth day of a fast, and I have lost 8-10 pounds so far. Down from 230 lbs to 222 pounds, or 220 lbs, depending on where in the bathroom I put the scale. ( Full Answer )

Are you overweight if you are 16 years old 5 foot 2 and weigh 125 pounds If so how can you lose the weight?
i think it is a healthy weight also cuz you are 16. i am 14 and 125 lol and the same height i want to lose some weight but every one thinks i am just right so ya...
A male that is 5 feet 1 inch tall has an average weight of 112pounds. Weighing 111 pounds would mean this person is about averageand not overweight.
Answer . No, a 13 yr old girl would not be overweight at 134 and 5'5". The standard is 100 lbs at 5', 5lbs per inch after. i.e. 5'1" 105, 5'2" 110, 5'3" 115, 5'4" 120 etc. anything with in a 10 to 15 lb range is normal depending on bone structure and amount of muscle. muscle weights more than fat… ( Full Answer )
Absolutely not. When I was 4'9 and 12 years old (I'm now 5'6 and 16years old) I was 101 pounds. Your are not overweight.
If you weigh 130 pounds, you may not need to lose weight, dependingon your height. However, if you want to lose weight, you need tocut out or eliminate processed foods and exercise.
Eat more protein (less carbs, too). Work out when you can, mostly cardio. Eat less, but don't starve yourself.
Depends on your build - but even if you are light boned it is not a weight that is too heavy.
umm i just did a weight calculator and you are overweight but!!! ur not obiece so keep doin sports and eatin healthy:) i am a risk of being overweight and im working to be average good luck :)
it depends on their diet, and if their skinny and weigh that much, it means the have heavy bones and muscles.
Rule of thumb for females: 100 lbs. for first 5 feet + 5 lbs. for each inch over.. 5'5" = 100 lbs + 5 in. x 5 lbs. or 125 lbs.
A friend of mine in 5'10". A year ago he weighed 330 lbs. He now weighs 220 lbs. He said that a huge key to his weight loss was learning that most of the time when he felt hungry, he was actually thirsty. So when he felt hungry he would drink 16 oz. of water. Then if he was still hungry after 30 m…inutes he would eat some food. He also ate smaller portions and rode his bicycle and so it was a combination of things, but he claims drinking water when he felt hungry was a major factor.. ( Full Answer )

How do you lose weight when your only 11 and weigh 96 pounds when all of the other girls weigh about 80 pounds and you want to lose 10 pounds or more?
Same advice as anyone would give: eat right, and exercise more. just a simple thing like walking to school (if it's not too far) instead of being driven can make a big difference. replace some junk foods like cookies, or candy to fresh fruit or vegetables. you might even find you like these things w…ay better. of course, before making a specific diet, always ask an adult or your doctor. Its amazing that you are thinking about losing weight at age 12. 86 pounds is not a lot. Maybe you should talk to your Dr. about how you feel. They can help you figure out the answer to your question.
To safely lose the weight you can follow the diet I am right now. With this program you try and burn a pound a day. Its a lot of work but realitively easy to do. For me at 5'9 286lbs my goal is 175. So 111 pounds is my goal. So If I follow this to the letter Im looking at 3and a half to 4 months if …I don't plataue. I know it seems boring but heres what Im eating. Breakfast- Wight Watchers Cookie/2 8oz glasses of water. Lunch- Slimfast diet Shake Small 1$ salad from a fast food joint (only use 1/2 the dressing they give you) Dinner- 1 cup cooked rice, 1 cup steamed veggitables, 1 baked chickenbreast (assorted seasonings) I alternate the chicken with lean pork loin (6-8 oz) or 5-6 oz of very lean beef. I do snack and that is an all day thing. 2 bannanas 2 apples 1 cucumber (about 10 1/4 inch sliced pices. Total calorie intake is around 1500-1700 daily. I use the Eliptical excersisor for 40 min. At my weight that's about 700 calories. 5 min walk on tredmill 3.5 mph that's about 50 calories 5 min run at 6mph on tread mill for about 100 calories. 30 min on the stationary bike for alternateing fast and moderate for 700 calories Now add in that if you get 8 hours of sleep you burn an additional 960 calories you are now at a calorie deficit. 3500 calories = 1lbs. So I always have to add more activities in . I walk the halls at work, take the stairs rather than the elevator, park in the far part of the lot. all this adds up and right now im at a -3443 calorie deficiet. in 3 days im down 2.5 lbs. Platauing is when your boby wises up to what you are doing and as you get more fit excersise becomes more efficient and it will take longer sessions or more intense ones than you are doing now. I should platau about 210lbs. But after dropping 70lbs I can afford to work a little harder. Make sure you take a good multivitamin as well. And if ANYTHING really starts to hurt or become swollen see your doctor. ( Full Answer )
You go on a diet of 1500 calories a day, making sure not to consume white sugar as it sabotages your efforts and also sucks up your daily allowance of calories.. Oatmeal, "I Can't Believe it's Not Butter" spray, Splenda, Yoplait Light Yogurt are all your friends during a 1500 calorie diet.. Substi…tute high fat, high calorie items with much healthier things. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables, drink lots of water. Exercise as much as you possibly can.. You should lose the weight steadily if you stay tough and remain consistent.. Get some cardio exercise in each week, at least twice. This can be as simple as a BRISK walk for 30 minutes.. Good luck ( Full Answer )
How should an 11-year old girl lose belly fat before summer she is 4' 11 in height and weighs around 105 pounds but looks like she is overweight?
\nUmmm, well- as long as she isn't lethargic she is most likely not fat- odds are she will reach puberty and the "belly fat" of which you speak will be less noticeable due to her breasts. I don't know how much I weighed when I was 11 or how tall I was, but I was definitely "chubby" mostly in the be…lly area- I've always had skinny legs. When I was 12,13,14 I lost it all naturally or- it repositioned itself on my chest, whatever. 11 is way way too early to be concerned about "belly fat". As long as the girl is active and not obese and eats a balanced diet- there is no problem. 11 is not the appropriate age to be losing any fat or dieting or any of that crap- this girl has her whole adult life to obsess over her weight and looks, she should at least get breasts first, then decide. By the time she's 16 she could be 5'8 and 130 lbs- which is perfectly normal- all of that stretching out would probably flatten her belly, right? I'm pretty miffed by this question, honestly- is it bikini season you're worried about? 11 years old, hello? eat a freaking hot dog and have a full calorie lemonade while you still can!!! Don't think so. I'm the same height and weight as you, and nobody's ever called me fat before except my best friend joking

Fat loss will occur when the calories you expend over a certain time is more than the calories you take in the same amount of time. A healthy diet and a suitable exercise regime will see you lose fat, however in one of those tricks life plays on you, muscle weighs more than fat, so your weight ma…y actually go up at first... I just want to say first that I am not a doctor and can only offer my opinion as a female adult who has struggled with maintaining my weight since I was about 10 years old. I weighed 120 lbs in the fourth grade and I was not comfortable with my body at all. Most of the girls in my class were sticks!… I developed early and just felt huge in comparison to my classmates. In all actuality, looking back at pictures, I realize now that I was a pretty normal sized kid. With a butt and boobs quite a bit earlier that normal. I am rambling, but the point of my message is, do you think you need to lose weight because of a number on a scale or because you just don't feel good about yourself? It is important at a young age to really try not to compare yourself to those around you ( I know it is sooo hard.) Do I think that you should try to lose weight because you are 10 and 106 lbs?? NO! absolutely not! I do think you should start exercising on a regular basis ( something fun like tae bo or swimming) and make it a habit to eat protein and fiber rich foods and stay away from fast food and anything fried. Do this because you want to be a healthy kid and later a healthy adult, not because you need to lose weight. If I had the mindset that I do now when I was your age, I would have saved myself a lot of heart ache- the image in the mirror is rarely the image that other people see when they look at you. you're beautiful, love yourself! You should sweat it. You should take this seriously and adopt a healthy lifestyle now, because it is not going to "just go away". It has to happen by deliberative positive decision making on your part. Eat right, exercise , and be determined that you will gain control of yourself, your lifestyle an…d thus your weight. You will not be happy as an obese person. It is so much easier to do when you are young. It will take you 90 days to get into the habit of eating right and exercise, but you will feel so much better about yourself- and others. ( Full Answer )
None. You're putting on pounds now because you're about to go through puberty (you're body will change and you will grow a lot). If you're concerned about weight gain try to keep eating healthy foods (mostly fruits and vegetables), avoid fast food, and join a sport. You don't need to lose weight.… ( Full Answer )
Are you overweight as a 11 year old girl in sixth grade who weighs 111 pounds How can you lose weight with a busy schedule?
you could join a Taekwondo Dojang it works for me because as though i am vietnamese i find Taekwondo a great way to be fit strong lean and tough.
No, that does not mean you are overweight. age has nothing to do with your weight. It all depends on you height and your build. for example my friend is 5 feet tall she never weighs more then 130 pounds. I am 5 feet and 9 inches and weigh 170 pounds. it all depends on your height. I know a women who… weighs 98 pounds and in 4 feet 11 inches and she doesn't weigh enough. so don't worry as long as you are playing outside and not in front of the TV everyday eating potato chips I am sure you are fine. and if you are worried about it you can talk to your parents and they would probably be willing to help you be more healthy. I'm sure you fine. don't worry. ( Full Answer )
Although your BMI is 19 and it is normal, you may get taller, and will make you underweight, I would suggest at least gaining 10 pounds maybe more so that this doesn't happen. Most boys your around your height probably weigh 130-160, which 150+ would be overweight, this is 21.6-26.6, and I would say… 135 is the best weight about now. ( Full Answer )
Carb intake, like anything else, is only going to be a minor part of weight loss. The most important thing to determine is how much energy you're burning during the day. Timing is also important. Consuming your carbohydrates (via cereal or bread, etc) in your morning meals will provide you with the… energy to be more active for the rest of the day. less than 1200 cal a day, but your weight is almost normal for your weight and height. Generally that would be overweight for 11 years old, though it depends on your height. Each child grows at his or her own rate and no two people are the same. One of the easiest indicators of if you are overweight is to find your BMI by finding your height and weight. There are several BMI calculato…rs available on the internet such as the one listed below, though BMI tends to work better for adults than children due to the differences in growth rates. A more accurate measurement is to determine your body composition so you can see your percentage of fat, muscle, and bones. Since BMI assumes a standard body composition it may be inaccurate for people who differ from a standard build. For instance a professional football player would have more muscle than an average person and thus weight more making it possible for BMI to consider that person overweight while they are within healthy fat percentages. It generally takes instruments designed specifically for that purpose to be able to determine exact percentages, one of the most common ways being a skinfold test. There are standard growth charts for American Children published by the CDC which are available on the internet. ( Full Answer )
you're completely fine! as long as you're okay with your body. im 5'7" and weigh 143 and most people consider me to be skinny, although i have a lot of muscle and weigh what seems to be a lot.
Educate yourself on what a healthy diet would look like, both in terms of what and how much to eat. Weightwatchers do OK.Then stick to that plan.
5'5 and 125 lbs? You do NOT need to lose weight. If you want to be healthier, you just need to eat balanced meals and exercise regularly. Cutting back on food slows down your metabolism and causes your body to not break down food easily.
No way!It depends on how old you are too.If your are around 12-14 years old your average body weight is 120-140.
I'm 12 years old and weigh 123.8 pounds and i didn't eat breakfast and lunch but don't do what i did i lost 2 pounds and i had to wake up at 6 in the morning to do exercises. just eat healthier foods and don't go bike riding up town and eat away foods in the summer. you need nutrition and eat heal…thier foods. Oh that's what you should do if you don't do any excersize you should do a sport ! ( Full Answer )
You don't need to worry or even think about losing weight. You're too young to worry about that and that height and weight is perfectly normal. Just make sure you do an extracurricular activity that involved exercising and you eat balanced meals with fruits and vegetables so that you will grow healt…hy. ( Full Answer )
You'd really have to consider more than just your weight. For example, if you're just someone who works out and has a lot of muscle, 122 isn't overweight in the least. However, if you're someone with a smaller body, and you've noticed a bit "extra"... then I, personally, would say that it might do y…ou well to lose 10 pounds or so... but in conclusion, I don't think you're TOTALLY overweight... depending. ( Full Answer )
First off unless you are age 13 or under or 4 foot tall or under -- a body weight of 122 pounds is healthy. However, if you still want to lose weight you will need to know 1 fact. 3500 calories equals 1 pound. Now everything you do burns calories so you have 2 options. For every pound you want to l…ose you need to either: 1. eat 3500 less calories then you burn through your daily lifestyle 2. eat the number of calories someone with your body type needs to sustain their weight, and burn 3500 calories through exercise. However, like i said 122 lbs for an adult is generally speaking healthy, unless you are a dwarf. Now option #1 is more then likely not a good plan for someone your weight as you will more then likely put your body into "starvation mode" and your body will actually start conserving energy thinking you are starving. You will actually gain weight by doing this, not to mention create an unhealthy eating habit ( Full Answer )
