As a ball rolls downa hill. the acceleration depends on the slope of the hill. IF the slope decreases, the acceleration decreases. The ball's speed is still increasing, but at a slower rate.

When A ball rolls down a slope ramp the acceleration is?

increasing

A ball rolls off a table and falls 80 m to the floor landing with a speed of 4.5 ms What is the magnitude of the acceleration of the ball just before it strikes the ground?

It's 9.81m/s since vertical acceleration is always constant.

Does the speed of a ball increase or decrease after it hits the ground?

Once a ball has fallen a distance through the air, and it contacts the ground, its speed will rapidly decrease until it has stopped moving. The acceleration experienced by the ball is so great that it seems to stop instantly. Most likely, it will bounce back up, and then repeat this cycle a few times before coming to rest.

What is the acceleration of a ball that starts from rest and rolls down a ramp and gains speed at 25 ms in 5 seconds?

Average acceleration during a time interval = (change in speed) divided by (time for the change) =(25) / (5) = 5 meters per second2

A ball slows as it rolls up a hill Which is this an example of?

N^egative acceleration = X4 =

A ball is dropped and its motion recorded It is found that the increase in speed is uniform for each second it falls Which inference do these observations support?

If the increase in speed is uniform, this means that the slope of the function of speed over time is constant. This means that acceleration is constant.

If a bowling ball rolls 32 meters in 0.8 seconds what is the average speed of the bowling ball in ms2?

If you divide the meters by the seconds, you get the average speed. But that would be in meters / second, not in meters per second squared, which is a unit of acceleration.

Does acceleration cause a steel ball to speed up?

no

When a ball is traveling at a constent speed around the inside of circular structure is the ball accerlerating?

Yes, acceleration is present. Acceleration is a change in speed and/or direction of motion. Even if speed is constant, acceleration is present if the path of the motion is anything but straight.

How do you calculate the acceleration of a ball that starts from rest and rolls down a ramp and gains a speed of 25 ms in 5 s?

Acceleration is the speed variation at a given time. Thus you must calculate the speed variation: Final speed - Initial speed = 25m/s-0m/s=25m/s The conscious then is performed over time.. t=5s Finally, the acceleration is a=(25m/s)/5s=5m/s2

What is the speed and acceleration of a ball rolling down a hill?

The acceleration of a tennis ball rolling down an incline depends with two factors. The force that is applied to the tennis ball and the mass of the tennis ball will determine its acceleration.

What is the scientific word for getting faster?

An object like a falling cannon ball which increases its speed as it moves is said to accelerate. When you hit the brakes of a car it should decelerate. An increase in speed is called acceleration.
