The fan comes on when the temperature of the engine reaches a set temperature as you say. The fan will also come on and stay on as soon as the A/C is turned on. Other than those 2 methods, you cannot manually turn it on. There is no reason to do so. The fan's job is to keep the engine from going above a set temperature, and nothing more. No need for it to run any other time.
under the radiator, driver side.
The radiator drain plug on a 2004 Chevy Venture is located at the bottom, left side of the radiator. It allows for the coolant to be quickly drained during maintenance.
The drain plug on the 2003 Chevy Venture is located on the bottom edge of the radiator. It is on the side facing the engine.
yes
The thermostat on a 2004 Chevy Venture is changed by draining the radiator, removing the upper radiator hose, and unbolting the thermostat housing. The old thermostat and gasket can then be removed and replaced.
Blown head gasket.
It is located on the driver's side of the radiator in the lower corner. It is plastic and green in color. Mike

On a 98 venture the starter is located in front and just under radiator. Simple to reach and change. I learned the hard way.
all thermostats are located in the metal housing where the top radiator hose is clamped to the engine intake manifold. it has to be positioned where the fluid leaves the engine in order to regulate the temperature.
When standing in front of the van it is on the left hand side on the engine side of the radiator it's on the bottom. It plastic.
Check coolant level Cooling fan working? Dirt or clogged radiator? Defective radiator cap?
Radiator replacement in the Chevy Venture van requires removing the 6 attaching posts and the hoses that allow for circulation. The gaskets at the hose connection points should also be replaced. Replacement time is 60 to 90 minutes.
in the front just as you pass the radiator underneath its connected to the engine
Hi, There is no radiator fan "sensor" for this vehicle. The fans are controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The basic concept is that the PCM uses a temperature sensor to measure the engine coolant and will turn the fans on and off at the appropriate time and speed. There are certain conditions where the radiator fans will turn ON (at high speed) all the time, but that normally only happens when there are other problems in the system. If you want to find out more details about how the systems works, use the "related link" I have included. Good Luck!
follow the top radiator hose to the engine. its under the cover.
you dont you turn it and pull out the plug stays in the rad
Every 160 000 km if it has Dexcool in the rad.
I've got a better question, why is this question in the Chevy venture forum ?
I don't have a schematic for the radiator, but I believe the IN is the bottom hose on the radiator, and the OUT is the top.It really shouldn't matter because it is just a loop through the radiator.Take Care,Greg
