∙ 12y agoIm going by personal experience... but my parents divorced when I was very young, but I remember being told that I had to be 13 years old to choose which parent got custody of me. My father won the custody battle for me then, but when I turned 14 I told the both of my parents I wanted a mother and my father agreed to give up custody...
my point is that as long as you're old enough to tell your parents what you would like you're old enough to make that request, well your parents do have to agree... if they don't, you'd have to prove to a judge that your choice is for the best. Im sure which ever you choose is for the best... that's not exactly the easiest choice to make!
