In Georgia, a child has to weigh at least 40 pounds to sit in the front seat. If the child is under 8 years of age, he also must be restrained in a car or booster seat in order to ride in the front seat.
There is no Texas law that states a child of any age can not ride in the front seat. The law states that anyone age 8 or under 4'9" must be in a child safety seat. However, because of airbags and such it is not recommended for them to ride in the front seat.
Age is not determined for this ... size and weight is the determining factor. There is no law in NY that a child can sit in the front seat. Anyone can but the reccomended weight is 100 pounds and 4'11 for the height.
