Have it inspected or replaced beginning at 75,000. This is important because the belt can break with no warning and can cause major valve and piston damage.

Not true, the 1995 3.4 DOHC does not have intermittent valve timing, this motor will receive no damage from a broken timing belt. (MYTH), Although some DOHC's DO have intermittent v.t.

The '95 LS has a 3.1 liter V6 not a 3.4 Liter DOHC, only the Z34's from '95-'97 had the 3.4 DOHC and in '98 changed to the 3800, although the 3.1 liter stayed in the LS models until '99. But even still, I believe it (the 3.1 Liter) only has a timing chain not a timing belt...and I'm not sure if it is an interference motor or a non-interference motor.
