I have suffered from RA since I was nine and have been in all kinds of climates from icy snow covered winters to the dry desert climate in outback Australia and in constantly hot humid climates. I have found throughout that it make no difference one way or the other where you are. Your peace of mind probably has more to do with it.
According to studies done on the issue of the effect of climate on RA sufferers there has been no reliable evidence to suggest that it makes any difference one way or the other. I have suffered from this condition to a lesser and greater degree for many years and have not found that climate, temperature , humidity, etc makes any discernible difference. However if you are going to go with the folk lore on this isue you should look for an area with wery dry, hot climate.
Yuma, Arizona, and Salt Lake City, Utah, have been named as two of the best places in the United States to live for patients with rheumatoid Arthritis, at least. (Yuma for sunshine and Salt Lake City for less stress.)
