Blaupunkt type car300 radio fitted to vectra 1997 will not let you enter the code led displaying 7 safe?

Turn the radio off, press AS and hold, press on button.
7safe comes up but leave it in n this mode for about 10 minutes or so then as if by magic the code - - - - comes up. Enter code as normal and radio ok.

My vectra is a 1999 S plate and has a factory fitted immobilizer, I think that alarm/ immobilisers were fitted as standard the year after mine.

Its fitted from the inside! you will need to remove the door card and get a 10mm socket on a bar and get them off that way
