i believe he is talking about himself

I was always told he was your son, tell me if I am wrong.

*Actually he's talking about his own son.

he in real terms could be talking about both him self or his son.

this mans father if pointing to himself at the time would mean his own father and without brothers and sisters the link would go back to himself beeing the son. Or if he had a son the he could be directing to his son saying this mans father meaning himself

you have worded it incorrectly, brothers and sisters YOUhave none... then you say, that mans father is MY fathers son?????

so you have described the first half of the sentence as someone else, and the second half as yourself!

The correct wordind is:

I look at a photo and say, Brothers and Sisters I have none, but this mans father, is my fathers son.

who is the picture of?

the answer being, it is a photo of who ever is looking at it (themself)!

The riddle is a little misworded,

but "you" are "that man".

i.e. "that man's" father = "your" father

(and "you" have no brothers and no sisters).

A man stares at a photo and says brothers and sisters i have none but that mans father is my fathers son?

That means that the man in the photo is his son. "My father's son" is himself (since he has no brothers and sisters); since he is the father of "that man", it follows that "that man" is his son.

Who is the certain man when Brothers and sisters Have you none But a certain mans father is your fathers son?

My son. "My fathers son" is myself, if I don't have brothers and sisters. Therefore, "A certain man's father is my father's son" simplifies to "A certain man's father is myself".

Brothers and sisters you have none but that mans father is your fathers son?

The person in question is your son. Think about it this way: Who is "your father's son"? It's you, because you have no brothers or sisters. So, you just replace "your father's son" with "you", and the riddle now reads: "...that man's father is you." Simple.

Brothers and sisters have you none but that mans brother is your brothers son who are you?

You quoted the Riddle incorectly. The real riddle quotes, "Brothers and Sisters I have none, but this man's father is my father's son." You contradicted yourself saying you had no brother and then saying that your brother has a son. The way the real riddle works is as follows: Disregard the Brothers and Sisters part, that has no significance to the riddle whatsoever and is only there to throw you off. The second part works like two statements. The first being "This man's father" which clearly showing that the man has a father. And "is my father's son" saying that the father has a son. Think on it....Your father's son. THAT"S YOU! haha. I hope this clarified the riddle to you. I had the same problem when I was in High School.
