no. blue is a recessive gene. brown is domminant. at least one parent has to have brown eyes in order to produce a brown eyed baby. it is very possible for two brown eyed parents to produce a blue eyed baby, however. Yes, because someone in the family(for example the: one of the grandparents) might have a different eye color. Since both parent don't have that gene, the baby can still get the gene from someone else in the family. no. because blue is recessive. brown is dominant. in order for the baby to receive a brown gene, at least one parent has to have a brown gene. since brown is dominant, if either parent has a brown gene, they WILL have brown eyes over blue. ALWAYS. Blue is simple light refraction because pigmentation has not yet developed in the iris of the eye. All babies are born blue-eyed, and some remain that way. If there are other brown-eyed people in one of the parents' bloodline, the trait may possibly be inherited.

Yes. Brown eyes is a dominant trait over green eyes. So it is very possible that the two brown eyed parents could be carriers for the gene trait for green eyes, but because brown is the dominant trait the parents appear to have brown eyes. Their offspring, however will only show green eyes if they receive both recessive traits for green eyes. For example, both parent's genotypes may be Bb ("B" being brown eyed gene and "b" being the gene for green eyes) therefore, when Bb is crossed with Bb the probability of their offspring will be as follows:25% chance their offspring will be BB (homozygous for brown eyes) 50% chance their offspring will be Bb (heterozygous, showing brown eyes but are carriers for the green eyed gene) and 25% chance that their offspring will be bb (homozygous for green eyes).

The eye color of a baby is determined by many different genes all expressing themselves in various ways. Since the genes of the baby will come from each parent, there is a higher chance that the baby will inherit similar traits from the parents. While there is no for sure way to predict eye color so far, it is very much possible for 2 green eyes parents to have a baby with green eyes.

Only if at least one of the parents' so-called green eyes are actually hazel.

Since brown eye color is dominant, and green eye color is recessive, if both parents have green eyes there won't be any brown-eyed genes to express in their children's DNA.

Yes, it is entirely possible. The genetics of eye coloration is poorly understood, whatever others may tell you.

It is unlikely, but possible. 25% chance at best.

Yeah, if the two brown eye recessive traits combine, then the dominant blue eye trait doesn't get involved, but both parents need to have the recessive trait for it to happen.

If it runs in the family, yes. The genetics of eye color are more complex than previously thought. Almost any parent-child combination of eye colors can occur.

Are there more brown eyed people in the world than blue eyed?

NO. People with blue eyes do NOT have the brown eyed gene, if they did they themselves would have developed brown eyes instead of their blue as it is dominant. So two blue eyed parents can only pass the blue gene to their offspring.

If father and mother both have blue eyes is it possible to have a baby with brown eyes?

There is a chance the baby will have blue eyes but only 1:3 chance. You carry 2 blue eye genes. If he carry's 2 brown genes then all your baby's will have brown eyes. But, if he carry's 1 brown gene and 1 blue gene then the chances of blue:brown eyes are 1:3. Hope this helps :)

Can two brown eyes parents produce a blue eyes child?

I don't think two brown eyed parents produce a blue eyed child, but a brown eyed parent and a blue eyed parent can produce a child with blue eyes. Brown eyes are not always dominate. Two brown-eyed parents CAN produce a blue-eyed child if BOTH carry the recessive gene for blue eyes. Recessive means it can hide, but is still present and ready to be carried on to a future generation. Brown eyes ARE dominant. If you carry the gene for brown eyes, your eyes are brown. This does not mean you can't also carry the recessive gene for blue/green eyes.

Can a green eyed man and brown eyed woman have a green eyed daughter?

Yes. Blue eyes are a recessive genetic trait, which means that a brown- or green-eyed person can still carry a gene for blue eyes. In this case, the blue-eyed gene is recessive, or subordinate, to the green- or brown-eyed gene. To be blue-eyed, an individual must have a recessive blue-eyed gene from both its mother and father.

Can two brown eyed parents make a blue eyed baby?

It is uncommon for a baby to be born with brown eyes. Almost all babies have blue eyes because the iris has not yet made brown pigment (called melanin) that colors the iris. It is, however, common for babies to have blue eyes at 2 weeks. Usually, the iris doesn't make enough melanin until about 3 years of age. In other words, genetically, it is very well possible to have a baby that eventually will become brown eyed, or even green eyed, even a very rare combination of brown and blue on each individual eye is possible. Whilst the text so far is all correct, it is only uncommon but not unheard of for two blue eyed parents to have a brown eyed baby from birth. It is a fascinating subject. read more at : related link down below.
